A Rat’s Tale
Walkabout – meet at the library
Friday 3rd Nov 5.30pm-10pm
Saturday 4th Nov 5.30pm-7.30pm
by Claire Dean in association with Litfest and Highwire CDT, Lancaster University
Lancaster is overrun with humans and the rats have had enough. They’ve heard a rat called the Pied Piper can help. Follow the library story-trail to discover the unruly rats’ corner and, if you dare, join a guided tour for a rat’s-eye view of the city. Guided tours will take you on an immersive storywalk, where you’ll use UV torches to uncover the secret city of the rats.
Once you’ve joined the rats, you’ll never look at Lancaster’s streets and alleyways in the same way again. Drop-in to experience the library story-trail and find the rats’ corner at any time on both nights. Guided tours will leave the library at quarter-past and quarter-to the hour. Sign-up to join a tour in the library on the night. The guided tours take place outdoors and last 20-30 mins.
