During Light Up Lancaster 2017, scientists from Lancaster University delivered “Light Matter” – an opportunity to see how light is used to understand how atoms come together to create the world we live in.
Funded by the National Grid, visitors were invited to step into the Lab to build a molecular structure and shine a light to see the beautiful patterns.
Now you can download an activity sheet focussing on some of the topics covered:
- Have a look at some molecular structures made of common atoms and see if you can work out what they are!
- Discover some illuminating facts about light!
