Lancaster Fireworks Spectacular

Saturday sees a return of the fantastic firework display! Join us from 6.30pm onwards at one of our designated viewing areas to see this amazing display of light and music which will start at 8pm.

Below are the official viewing areas with information about each.


This is the perfect location for stunning views across the city with the fireworks displayed against a backdrop of the Castle and Priory. The Pavilion Café will be open all evening and you will be able to hear the official soundtrack broadcast via PA system.

You don’t need wristbands for this viewing area – just turn up.

Situated behind St George’s Quay.  BBC Radio Lancashire will also be broadcasting live from Quay Meadow during the evening.

The home of Lancaster Football Club and situated off West Road, this location has a great view towards the castle.

Please arrive at this location before 7.30pm.


Please note: The viewing areas are not under cover and may be muddy underfoot. Waterproofs and wellies are recommended!

Also please note that there is no viewing from Salt Ayre this year, and the Lancaster Castle area will be closed off.

Pay and display carparks can be found throughout the city, although they may get very busy during the evening – why not arrive early and take some time to experience the fascinating Light Up Lancaster artworks and installations which will be displayed in the city centre from 5pm onwards.
