A darkly funny ‘choose your own adventure’ game where you must help a spectre trapped within a jukebox uncover the truth about his demise in the hope of setting him free. This interactive story is housed within an abandoned antique jukebox and takes place amidst what appears to be a collection of old forgotten junk in storage. Set against the backdrop of Britain from the 1960s to the 1990s, the game combines elements of retro gaming, B-movie horror, and surreal humour – think Cluedo meets The Twilight Zone.
Matt Tully is a designer and maker from Sheffield whose work delves into the world of play and its influence on design, performance, and culture. Leveraging his experience as a set builder and prop maker, along with his passion for storytelling, he creates surreal and often whimsical spaces or events for viewers to explore through play. Matt is particularly interested in how play can be used to develop visual vocabularies to aid with expression, learning, and communication. He explores such concepts through his work with the national theatre’s ‘SpeakUp’ schools program and as an associate practitioner with the pioneering theatre company, Imitating the Dog.
