How can we respond creatively to the challenges of being human? Neurological research suggests we need to let our minds wander.
And so our symbolic landmark, Plover Scar Lighthouse, will be wandering the streets, handing out illuminations on comforts and warnings during Light Up Lancaster.
This local landmark, having left its rocky outcrop at the mouth of the River Lune, will take to the streets during Light Up Lancaster on Friday 8th November, 5-10pm. The light will dispense the illuminations generated at previous workshops. These markers, guides, comforts and warnings, created by citizens of our city, will be given freely to all.
The light’s wanderings will take it to the Zine Library at The Gregson on Saturday afternoon at 2pm. There it’ll launch a Madzines Project takeover, where you can share reflections on being and becoming human, and expand horizons over tea and cake, with the lighthouse and the Madzines team.
