LED Lanterns: Castle Labyrinth
With Shane Johnstone
Lantern making to make illuminated labyrinth.
For centuries in ancient holy places the labyrinth has provided a spiritual pathway that leads those who walk it on a journey of contemplation and self-discovery. Designed to encourage peaceful reflection, a labyrinth is a single path leading to a centre point and out again, it has only one entrance, only one exit and as long as you keep going forward, you will arrive back where you began.
A labyrinth is not a maze which is a puzzle trail of multiple entrances, exits, dead-ends & blind alleys designed to confuse and entrap the user, the purpose of a labyrinth is to guide.
One loses oneself in a maze but finds oneself in a labyrinth.
Join us, make a labyrinth lantern, each one representing a memory, a thought, dream or prayer. Walk the labyrinth trail and enter a magical realm.
